Introduction

This cake is so cute and delicious! This is a bit longer than a usual cake but it's worth it and is perfect for any special occasions!

I used Buttermilkbysam’s recipe of Strawberry Bread to make the heart shaped cake at the center and the vanilla preparation of the Marble cake for the rest.

Preparation

Strawberry Purée

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F (205 C).
  2. On a sheet pan, spread out 1 cup of sliced strawberries. Sprinkle with sugar & a squeeze of lemon juice.
  3. Roast for 20 minutes, tossing mid way.
  4. Once cool, purée in a food processor or blender - *to accelerate the cooling process, you can place the bowl of roasted strawberries in a cold bath.*
  5. Set aside, you’ll use this in the strawberry bread.

Strawberry Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F (190 C) and grease a large pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat egg & sugar until it whitens & gets fluffy.
