Introduction
This cake is so cute and delicious! This is a bit longer than a usual cake but it's worth it and is perfect for any special occasions!

I used Buttermilkbysam’s recipe of Strawberry Bread to make the heart shaped cake at the center and the vanilla preparation of the Marble cake for the rest.

Ingredients
Strawberry purée
- Sliced strawberry: 167g | 5.9oz | 1 cup
- Sugar: 2 cac | 2 tsp
- Brown sugar: 2 cac | 2 tsp
- Lemon juice: 1 squeeze
Strawberry Bread
- All purpose flour: 60g | 2.13oz | 1/2 cup
- Almond flour: 30g | 1oz | 1/3 cup
*- can be replaced by all-purpose flour as in the original recipe*
- Baking powder: 1 cac | 1 tsp
- Baking soda: 1/4 cac | 1/4 tsp
- Cornstarch: 1 cac | 1 tsp
- Salt: 1 cac salt | 1/4 tsp
- Egg: 1
- Sugar: 100g | 3.5oz | 1/2 cup
- Canola oil: 2 cas + 2 cac | 2 tbsp + 2 tsp
- Greek yogurt: 2 cas + 2 cac | 2 tbsp + 2 tsp -
*I replaced with half whipping cream + half milk*
- Vanilla extract: 1/2 cac | 1/2 tsp
- Strawberry purée: 6 cas | 6 tbsp
- Lemon juice: 1 cac | 1 tsp
Vanilla cake
- Butter: 60g | 2oz | 4 tbsp
- Heavy cream: 57g | 2oz | 1/4 cup
- Sugar: 100g | 3.4oz | 1/2 cup
- Eggs: 2
- All-purpose flour: 110g | 3.9oz | 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp
- Baking powder: 6g | 0.2oz | 1 tsp + 1/2 tsp
- Vanilla extract: 1 cac | 1 tsp

Preparation
Strawberry Purée
- Preheat oven to 400 F (205 C).
- On a sheet pan, spread out 1 cup of sliced strawberries. Sprinkle with sugar & a squeeze of lemon juice.
- Roast for 20 minutes, tossing mid way.
- Once cool, purée in a food processor or blender -
*to accelerate the cooling process, you can place the bowl of roasted strawberries in a cold bath.*
- Set aside, you’ll use this in the strawberry bread.
Strawberry Bread
- Preheat oven to 375 F (190 C) and grease a large pan.
- In a medium bowl, beat egg & sugar until it whitens & gets fluffy.
