Introduction

Gateau yaourt (yogurt cake) is a well known cake in France. Because it is pretty easy, it’s often one of the first cakes you bake as a kid.

As the name calls it, there is yogurt involved in this cake and most of the recipes are using the yogurt pot to measure all the other ingredients! *Below you’ll also find the conversion into grams / cups.*

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 355 F (180 C).
  2. In a medium bowl, beat eggs with sugar & vanilla extract. Add yogurt & whisk.
  3. Add all-purpose flour & baking powder.
  4. Whisk everything together & add the melted butter.
  5. Grease a pan & transfer the cake mix into it.
  6. Bake for 35 minutes, check with a knife if the cake is baked at center - *the knife should come out clean & dry.*
